The current research aims to: identify the effectiveness of a proposed program in light of the philosophy of systematic art education (DBAE) and its impact on developing the aesthetic sense among second-year middle school students. The philosophy of (DBAE) gives the art education curriculum an academic and systematic character, and hence we must benefit from it in a way that is consistent with our identity and our rich artistic heritage that distinguishes us. This philosophy is concerned with both cognitive and skill aspects, which enables the student to acquire artistic knowledge and experiences that develop his artistic beauty, aesthetic experience, artistic and visual culture; with the aim of building his personality, developing his abilities and creative thinking, and enriching his aesthetic awareness in a comprehensive and integrated manner.
To achieve the research objectives, the current research used the quasi-experimental approach based on one group in applying its pre- and post-test tools and experimenting with it. The research sample was a random sample of a group of second-year middle school students, numbering (15) male and female students. The research tools were represented by the aesthetic sense scale prepared by the researcher. The research results showed a statistically significant difference at the 0.01 level between the average ranks of the research group scores for the pre- and post-application of the aesthetic sense scale in favor of the post-application.
