Abstract

Title of the Study: "The effect of using augmented reality technology on the academic achievement in “Islamic Studies” course among elementary school female students in Makkah".

The study aimed to measure the effect of using augmented reality technology in developing the academic achievement of the Islamic studies course among fifth-grade female students in Makkah. The study sample consisted of (31) fifth-grade female students in the Holy City of Makkah, chosen as a random sample, the researcher has adopted the experimental approach based on a quasi-experimental design for one group. To achieve the objective of the study, an achievement test was prepared, that consisted of three pivots, represented by the higher levels of thinking: (Analysis, Evaluation, Creativity). The achievement test was applied to the unit: (Knowledge of Religion) in the “ “Islamic Studies” course for the fifth grade of elementary school (the second semester), the findings revealed that the level of achieving the effect of using augmented reality technology in the “Islamic Studies” course among fifth-grade elementary school students has achieved a noticeable increase in the achievement of the members of the study sample, it can be said that this program is suitable to be applied so that it contributes to improving the academic achievement process among students.
