The research aims to study the role of green education in achieving the goals of sustainable development, and an analytical methodology was used, as this research relied on the descriptive and analytical approach to study and analyze the role of green education in Egypt within the context of Vision 2030. Where green education contributes significantly to raising environmental awareness among individuals within schools and universities, developing critical thinking skills, and finding realistic solutions to environmental problems within their communities in order to create a generation capable of global competition, finding realistic solutions to clean energy and reducing the use of traditional energy, which leads to strengthening sustainable communities and enhancing community participation in preserving the environment.
The research recommends integrating the principles of green education into school curricula at all levels, providing the necessary training for teachers, and enhancing cooperation between educational institutions, the private sector and civil society to promote environmental sustainability, and green education helps to raise awareness among school and university students about the causes and effects of climate change and its direct impact on their daily lives and how to innovate non-traditional ways to confront this phenomenon through the use of green technologies such as the use of clean energy and increasing the green surface within educational institutions and their communities.
