Challenges Faced by Early Childhood Teachers in Teaching Life and Family Skills and Ways to Overcome Them from Their Perspective

Abstract

The study sought to identify the challenges encountered by early childhood teachers in teaching life and family skills subjects and to suggest strategies for overcoming these challenges from the teachers' perspectives in Mecca. Utilizing a descriptive analytical approach, the study randomly selected a sample of (152) teachers. Data were gathered through a questionnaire, which was validated for accuracy and reliability.

The results showed that the average score for the first section was (3.73) with a relative weight of (74.5%), indicating that early childhood teachers face a significant degree of challenges while teaching life and family skills subjects from their perspective. The second section had an average score of (4.37) with a relative weight of (87.5%), emphasizing the great importance of the proposed solutions to overcome the challenges faced by early childhood teachers in teaching life and family skills subjects.

The results also indicated no statistically significant differences in the perspectives of the study sample regarding the estimation of challenges faced by early childhood teachers in teaching and ways to overcome them attributed to variables such as specialization, educational qualification, age, and years of experience.

The study concluded with key findings and provided a set of recommendations and suggestions.
