A systematic review to measure the quality of energy healing research in the Arab environment: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as a model

Abstract

Due to the scarcity of published studies on measuring the quality of research on this technique in the Arab environment, the current study came to fill this research gap, and to conduct a systematic review that reveals the quality of EFT research .Using a systematic review of the literature to analyze the content of (18) research and studies, published in (8) peer-reviewed scientific journals and periodicals in the field of psychological and educational sciences, and relying on the scale of evaluating a research (article) published or submitted for publication in a professional journal by Khattab (2008). The results indicated that (69) indicators were achieved to a strong degree, (11) indicators were achieved to a medium degree, While no indicator achieved a poor score. The results of the current reference study also showed that Samuel Tamer Bushra ranked first among Arab researchers in conducting studies, either individually or in collaboration with others, that dealt with this modern technology at a percentage of (61.1%), with (11) studies and research out of the total studies and research in the Arab world. The Journal of Studies in the Field of Psychological and Educational Counseling, issued by the Center for Psychological and Educational Counseling at the Faculty of Education at Assiut University, ranked first among Arab journals that published studies that dealt with the Emotional Freedom Technique at a percentage of (50%), with (9) studies and research out of the total studies and research in the Arab world
