Abstract

The current research aims to develop the skills of maintaining refrigeration equipment and devices, as well as developing the skill of using tools used in maintaining refrigeration among\ students in the first year of industrial secondary school, in refrigeration department, at Al-Balina Industrial Secondary School for Girls, using the flexible learning model.

To this end, the researcher prepared the research tools represented in the list of main skills and the sub-skills it includes, as well as the teacher's guide and the activity booklet for female students.

The researcher also prepared the research materials from an achievement test to measure the cognitive aspect and an observation card to measure the performance aspect of refrigeration equipment maintenance skills, where the tools were applied pre-on the two research groups, then teaching using the flexible learning model for the research group and applying the tools post-on the two research groups.

The results showed:

1- There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the average scores of the control and experimental research groups for testing the cognitive aspects of practical skills for refrigeration and air conditioning equipment maintenance in favor of the experimental group.

2- There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the average scores of the control and experimental research groups for the observation card of the performance aspect of practical skills for refrigeration and air conditioning equipment maintenance in favor of the experimental group.
