Dimensions of the literary self and its availability among linguistically gifted middle school students

Abstract

The research aimed to define the appropriate literary dimensions of the talented preparatory stage students, and know the extent of their availability, and it was adopted for this purpose descriptive and experimental approach using the one -group semi -group design, and a list of literary self -dimensions has been prepared that included (30) phrases, and a measure to reveal its availability, The research at the Joint University School in Assiut Governorate was applied to (30) students in the second preparatory grade, which were identified through the approved companies and procedures in the research, The research reached the availability of the 'tendency towards reading literary texts' and 'interaction and perseverance in studying literary texts' to a moderate degree among the talented linguistic students, and the availability of the 'sense of literary self' and 'sense of difficulty while reading literary texts' to a weak degree, and based on it He recommended the need to pay attention to the development of these dimensions among talented linguistic students, and to build educational programs and use appropriate teaching methods and strategies in light of their characteristics to achieve this goal, and other recommendations and proposals.
