Abstract

The aim of the current research is to use a training program based on animation to reduce substitution and distortion disorders among childhood children. The study sample consisted of (4) children, all male, from the Sun Rise Academy, aged from (4-8) years. Applying the Stanford Interpersonal Scale of the Fifth Picture, the Illustrated Speech Proficiency Scale by Dr. Ihab El-Beblawi, and the results resulted in: There were statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the experimental group’s scores in the two pre-measurements

The post-test for the scale and its main skills is at a significance level of 0.05, in favor of children in the post-test.

The effect size for children’s scores on the scale and its main skills ranged between 0.980 and 0.990, which confirms

The effectiveness of the program in reducing speech disorders (substitution and distortion) in children during childhood

There are no statistically significant differences between the average performance ranks of the experimental group in the post and follow-up measurements on the Illustrated Speech Disorders Scale used in the research. The Wilcoxon test for non-parametric samples for related pairs was used through the statistical program Spss V23
