Emotional Intelligence and Its Relation to Administrative Communication Among Principals of Private Schools in the Northern Governorates of Palestine

Abstract

This study aimed to identify emotional intelligence and its relationship with administrative communication among private school principals in the northern governorates of Palestine. To achieve the study’s objectives, the researcher used a descriptive correlation method, employing two questionnaires: the first for emotional intelligence and the second for administrative communication. The first questionnaire consisted of the following two sections:1. Demographic Data: Including gender, experience, and academic qualifications. 2. Emotional Intelligence of Private School Principals in the West Bank Governorates.The second questionnaire was composed of two sections:1. Demographic Data: Including gender, experience, and academic qualifications.The validity and reliability of the questionnaires were confirmed. The study was conducted on a sample of 193 principals, selected randomly from private school principals in the West Bank governorates, based on the representation ratio of each stratum in the study population. The results indicated that the level of emotional intelligence was high overall and in all areas, and the level of administrative communication was high overall and in all areas. Additionally, there was a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and administrative communication. The study recommended the following:1. Enhancing emotional intelligence among school principals.2. Enhancing administrative communication among school principals.
