The study aimed to reveal the degree of obstacles to participation in digital volunteer work among secondary school students in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, in the cultural educational dimension, the institutional educational dimension, and the technical educational dimension, and also to identify whether there are statistically significant differences in the degree of obstacles to participation in volunteer work. Digital is attributed to the variables of gender, specialization, and participation in digital volunteer work. To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of (36) items and distributed over three dimensions.
To measure the degree of obstacles, the tool was applied to a random sample of (264), Of secondary school students in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, the results showed that the obstacles to participation in digital volunteering among the study sample were highly rated in the educational, cultural and institutional dimensions. This may be due to a lack of technical support and institutional training for volunteers, while the technical educational dimension came in at a moderate level, and the researcher believes that this may be due to the presence of technical skills among the students.
Also, there are statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members due to the gender variable in favor of boys, which is due to the specialization variable in favor of theoretical students, and which is due to the participation variable in favor of students who participated before.
