Cognitive awareness among children with academic language learning disorders in light of some demographic variables

Abstract

The present of the current research is to uncover differences in the perceptual awareness of children with academic language learning disorders according to gender (males, females), and grade (fifth and sixth primary) on the perceptual awareness scale for children with academic language learning disorders. The number of participants in the research was Psychometric research tools (30) male and female children, and the number of participants in the basic research was (30) male and female children from the Franciscan Private School in Assiut. The research tools were the perceptual awareness scale (prepared by the researchers), and the academic language learning disorders scale (prepared by the researchers), the results of the research resulted in a statistically significant difference between the average scores of children with academic language learning disorders according to the gender variable (males and females) on the cognitive awareness scale for children with academic language learning disorders in favor of females, and the absence of a statistically significant difference between children with learning disorders. Academic language according to the fifth and sixth grade of primary school on the cognitive awareness scale for children with academic language learning disorders. Based on the results of the research, recommendations and proposals were formulated.
