Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the educational and behavioral problems of students with hearing disabilities and the mechanisms of coping with them from the point of view of their teachers. The current study relied on the use of the descriptive analytical approach to describe and study the variables and extrapolation and identification of behavioral and educational problems in programs for people with hearing disabilities. A questionnaire was prepared consisting of (35) items in three main areas (the first field: educational problems facing people with hearing disabilities, the second field: behavioral problems facing people with hearing disabilities, and the third field: mechanisms for confronting educational and behavioral problems facing people with hearing disabilities). The validity of the questionnaire was measured using apparent validity and consistency, and the stability of the tool was measured, as the Alpha Cronbach coefficient for the tool as a whole was (0.864).

The results of the current study showed that the degree of availability of behavioral problems was moderate (3.28). The degree of availability of educational problems was medium (3.51). The results also showed a set of mechanisms to address behavioral and educational problems. The results confirmed that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the study sample in the responses to the tool/questionnaire as a whole and in its three domains due to the variables of job, number of years of experience, and training. People with hearing disabilities, and coping mechanisms. The study presented a set of recommendations and proposals
