A Future Vision for Establishing a Center for Caring for Gifted and Outstanding Groups at Assiut University: A Prospective Study

The current research aimed to identify the requirements for establishing a center for caring for gifted and outstanding groups at Assiut University from the viewpoint of faculty members, and to develop proposed scenarios for establishing a center for caring for gifted and outstanding groups at Assiut University. The researchers used the descriptive analytical method and the prospective method, and resorted to one of its tools, which is the expert interview guide. The research sample consisted of a sample of faculty members of (20) individuals. The research concluded that there are some necessary requirements for establishing a center for caring for gifted and outstanding groups at Assiut University, where the material and technical requirements came first, followed by human requirements, then administrative requirements. The current research recommends the necessity of providing training courses for faculty members on how to discover gifted and outstanding groups, the necessity of providing standardized scales and tests to discover the gifted and outstanding, and the necessity of having a clear and comprehensive vision for the university towards caring for gifted and outstanding groups.

Interest in special education programs for the gifted and talented has increased in various parts of the world, but to varying degreesSpecial education has become aimed at providing programs aimed at people with special needs in general and gifted and talented people in particular in order to develop their energies and aptitudes to the maximum possible extent, in order to serve themselves as individuals and as members of their communities.
