Digital program based on the communicative approach, religious purposes to identify the effectiveness of this program for developing the functional writing skill of non-native Arabic language learners

Abstract

The research aims to build a digital program based on the communicative approach, religious purposes to identify the effectiveness of this program for developing the functional writing skill of non-native Arabic language learners. To achieve the two objectives of the research; the researcher used the experimental method with a quasi-experimental design based on one group The research materials were designed, which included the digital program based on the communicative approach and religious purposes, the teacher’s guide, and a test of functional writing skills. The research materials were applied to a group Research on 36 non-native Arabic language learners at Al-Azhar Institute in Nasr City, Cairo.

The results of the research showed the effectiveness of the digital program based on the communicative approach and religious purposes in developing the functional writing skill of learners of Arabic as non-native speakers. The results of the research can be summarized as follows:

- There are statistically significant differences at the significance level of 0.01 between the average scores of the learners of the study sample in the pre- and post-measurements of the total score of the functional writing skills test, in favor of the post-measurement.

-The research recommended using technology and the communicative approach in developing writing skills for non-Arabic speakers.

-The research suggested conducting further research using the digital program based on the communicative approach to develop other language skills: listening, speaking, and reading for Arabic speakers and non-Arabic speakers.
