Research title : Using the Gimp image editor program in teaching art education to develop electronic artistic design skills in Arabic calligraphy among primary school students .

Research body: Faculty of Education - Assiut University.

The research goal is to:

1. Identification of the electronic technical design skills required for elementary fifth graders.

2. Design a proposed program using the GIMP program in technical education to develop electronic technical design skills in calligraphy.

The research found:

- The magnitude of the impact ranged from 0.827 to 0.907, which underscores the effectiveness of the programme based on the use of calligraphy for the development of electronic technical design skills .

There are statistically significant differences between the averages of the study sample scores in the tribal and post measurements of the dimensions and sum of the observation card, at an indicative level of 0.01, in favour of the average dimensional measurement,

- The magnitude of the impact ranged from 0.855 to 0.962 in the ETA square equation. These are significant values that confirm the effectiveness of the programme based on the use of calligraphy to develop the electronic technical design skills.

- A statistically significant correlation exists between the grades of the study sample members in the dimensional measurement of both the collectible test and the observation card at an indicative level of 0.01,
